Short answer

The dental practice in Essen-Rüttenscheid: practice of Dr. med. dent. J. Hayim M.Sc., digital dentistry, five languages, accessible entry and parking spaces.

One practice – different treatment pathways

Not every patient comes with the same goal.

Some would like a professional teeth cleaning or want discolouration assessed. Others need a filling, root canal treatment, dental restorations or implant treatment. Others have dental anxiety and initially want to know how an appointment can be structured at all.

The practice is therefore not built around a single procedure. After examination and diagnosis, the treatment pathway appropriate to the individual situation is determined.

You can find an overview under Treatments .

Digital dentistry at the practice

Some treatment workflows can be carried out fully or partly digitally.

Intraoral scanning and CAD/CAM

Primescan AC can be used to capture suitable treatment situations digitally. For restorative CAD/CAM workflows, the practice has systems including MC XL (4-axis), MC X5 (5-axis), inLab 22 and SpeedFire.

In suitable cases, for example, inlays, onlays and veneers can be manufactured in a single appointment. Certain feldspathic and lithium-disilicate crowns can also be produced at the practice within suitable workflows.

This is not a fixed time guarantee. Material, clinical findings and required work steps determine the actual process.

3D printing

Primeprint provides a dental 3D-printing workflow.

For guided implantology, surgical guides can be manufactured at the practice in suitable cases. Digital implant planning may use systems including SICAT Suite and ICX-MAGELLAN X 5.4.

3D X-rays only when medically indicated

The practice has digital X-ray diagnostics including CBCT (DVT).

However, a CBCT scan is not taken routinely merely because the technology is available. It is used when three-dimensional imaging is medically justified for a specific diagnostic or therapeutic question.

Tooth preservation and endodontics

Magnifying loupes form part of the practice workflow for root canal treatment.

For difficult, severely curved or calcified canal systems, a surgical microscope may additionally be used. Other available aids include Morita DentaPort Root ZX for electronic working-length determination and Dentsply Sirona SmartLite Pro EndoActivator for irrigant activation. Laser may be used as an adjunct in selected situations.

The availability of this technology does not mean that every tooth requires the same additional procedures.

Periodontology: standard therapy first

For periodontitis, systematic periodontal treatment forms the core: diagnostics, control of bacterial biofilm, subgingival instrumentation, re-evaluation and supportive follow-up care.

HELBO is available when appropriate as adjunctive photodynamic therapy. Waterlase iPlus may also be used as an adjunct where indicated.

Neither procedure replaces the necessary standard treatment.

Aesthetic and restorative dentistry

Services offered at the practice include professional teeth cleaning, bleaching, veneers, tooth-coloured fillings, and ceramic and prosthetic restorations.

Opalescence Boost 40% is used for in-office bleaching. Direct composite restorations are carried out using material from Kuraray Noritake; the practice uses an amalgam-free approach for routine filling treatment.

No specific result is promised for aesthetic treatments. Initial tooth colour, tooth structure, existing restorations and medical conditions influence what is possible.
